When I checked Allan's computers, his mail server settings were set for POP3. Interestingly, when I searched Google for "godaddy mail server settings", every single web page I came across from GoDaddy.com had instruction for setting up a POP3 account, but not for IMAP. I found this incredibly odd.
I have my email set up on my iPhone 6s running iOS 12.2. It is a custom email domain and I have it linked to my gmail and use the gmail outgoing smtp to send. A few days ago it stopped working and won’t send any mail. It works fine on the laptop but not on the phone. outgoing mail not working over 2 years ago Using an iphone 6 (but replicated issue on iphone 7 and ipad) when not on Cox wifi, I am not able to send emails from the Cox email account. All outgoing server settings are correct. My problem was with my isp settings for outgoing mail. My isp must block port 25 which is the std port for non ssl outging mail. I searched my isp's pages and found the settings for secure mail and made the changes. From memory, for smtp they use: securemail.adam.com.au. username and password, ssl enabled and server port 465 Yahoo Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com. Port: 465 (this may not be automatically populated on selection of SSL, so you'll need to check this) SSL Encryption: Enabled (but not STARTTLS) Authentication: PLAIN. Username: your email address including the @btinternet or @btopenworld.com part. Password: your btinternet password Introduction. Many email clients and services use port 25 for SMTP to send out emails. However an ISP (Internet Service Provider) may block port 25 in order to prevent spamming by its customers. I have just started having issues with my email client (outlook 2016) when sending mail from bigpond Things were working fine and then suddenly i keep on getting prompted for username/password credentials. I have not changed any outgoing SMTP settings. Is there are issue with bigpond mail? Out
Email was working fine until Monday Sept 30th. I updated my Eudora 7.1 settings for the new ports required by Verizon, and changed from "incoming.verizon.net" to "pop.verizon.net", and also from "outgoing.verizon.net", to "smtp.verizon.net". Now I cannot get or send anything from Verizon. Note
