This issue can be port binding problem even if ports are not in use: I resolved by changing my network IPV6 setting. The first discovery is targeted to all Windows Server to determine if NPS role is installed or not. Nov 12, 2010 · I have installed the Network Policy Server on an R2 Standard DC. I can manage it via the nps.msc just fine. But when I attempt to authenticate clients against the configured RADIUS server, I get no information logged to the SYSTEM log file (which is where I find logs for IAS, so I assume NPS to be similar?).
